Not every check is the same check, and most directories hide that. Every listing below says which kind it was, and the date we did it — because a license check is a photograph, not a guarantee. Somebody confirmed in August can be suspended in September.

Nobody paid to be listed here, and nobody can. Listings are not for sale, and no professional on this page has paid us anything to appear on it or to appear higher on it. If we are ever paid in connection with anyone listed here, it will say so on this page, next to that listing. Most of these were confirmed against a state register. A small number were not, and rather than quietly presenting those as equivalent, they are marked and we are re-checking them.

Not included yet. Mediators: Worth being precise about what this credential is. Vermont does not license or certify mediators. Everyone above is on the Vermont Judiciary’s own Family Mediation Program roster — a court program, published by the court, which is about as official as Vermont gets — but roster membership is not a state license and we won’t imply otherwise.
Not included yet. Therapists: No Vermont therapists are listed. The state’s mental-health licenses can only be checked through a lookup that works exclusively in a full graphical browser; attempts to reach it programmatically were bounced to a login screen. Vermont also publishes no downloadable license file for these professions — its open-data portal carries electricians and plumbers only. We won’t substitute the federal provider registry, because being in it isn’t proof of a current Vermont license.
Not included yet. CDFAs: No Vermont CDFAs could be confirmed. IDFA’s tools sit behind a "prove you’re human" check we don’t work around. We checked IDFA’s sitemap and ran targeted searches; the only Vermont-based profile that surfaced lists a CFP designation, not CDFA.
Not included yet. Attorneys: Verified against the Judiciary’s official "Attorneys in Good Standing" report dated 1 August 2026 — a genuine state record, and recent. That report confirms license and standing but not practice area, so the family-law focus comes from each firm’s own site.
