What “verified” means on this page
Not every check is the same check, and most directories hide that. Every listing below says which kind it was, and the date we did it — because a license check is a photograph, not a guarantee. Somebody confirmed in August can be suspended in September.

Nobody paid to be listed here, and nobody can. Listings are not for sale, and no professional on this page has paid us anything to appear on it or to appear higher on it. If we are ever paid in connection with anyone listed here, it will say so on this page, next to that listing. Most of these were confirmed against a state register. A small number were not, and rather than quietly presenting those as equivalent, they are marked and we are re-checking them.

Not included yet. Mediators: Maine’s court mediation service doesn’t publish a standalone list of its family mediators — the Judicial Branch posts rosters for civil and land-use cases only. To stay on an official source, each mediator here comes from the court’s own published biography pages, and only people whose court-published bio explicitly says they sit on the CADRES Family Matters roster were included. A complete statewide family-mediator list simply isn’t published, so this is a sample rather than the full roster.
Not included yet. Attorneys: The Board of Overseers directory confirms each attorney is registered "Active Resident", meaning licensed to practice in Maine. The Board notes its directory doesn’t by itself confirm a clean disciplinary record — that requires phoning them — so an active license is what’s verified here, not the absence of past discipline.
Not included yet. CDFAs: Two Maine CDFAs, both in Cumberland County. IDFA’s map search sits behind a "prove you’re human" check we don’t work around; these two were confirmed through IDFA’s own verification tool instead. There are likely more elsewhere in Maine that couldn’t be confirmed from an official source.
Not included yet. Therapists: Maine’s license lookup returns results through a search form rather than a permanent address per license, so the link points at the search page — type in the license number to reproduce the result. The state confirms the license only; the divorce focus comes from each therapist’s own practice listing.
