Someone who actually gets it.
Divorce hands most people silence. This is a way to be matched with one other person going through something like what you’re going through — so the 2am version of this isn’t something you face on your own.
How it will work
You pick a moniker
Not your name. Something you choose, that stays yours. Nobody here ever sees who you actually are unless you decide to tell them.
You see a few people
Three to five at a time, not an endless feed. Same state, roughly the same stage, whether there are kids in the picture. Never your county — that’s too close to home.
You both have to say yes
You send a short note. They accept, or they don’t. Nothing opens unless you both agree. If someone passes on you, you’re never told and never shown them again.
Then you can talk
Up to three buddies at a time, because this is meant to be depth rather than volume. Either of you can walk away at any point, without explaining.
What we’re building in from the start
Not features. Guardrails. Some of the people who look for a service like this are being actively looked for by someone else, and the design has to account for that.
-
Nobody can message you first. Not without you accepting. There is no inbox for strangers.
-
Declining is silent and final. They’re never told, and they never come back around.
-
State, never county. Enough shared context to be useful, not enough to find you.
-
Report on every screen. Two taps, always there. Reports suspend the connection and reach a real person.
-
Nothing that identifies a child. No names, no schools, no schedules. That isn’t anyone’s information to trade away.
-
Whether you swap real details is your call. We won’t block it and we won’t nag you about it. We’ll tell you once what can’t be undone, and then trust you.
Get on the list
We’re opening this one state at a time. A matching service with nobody in it is worse than none at all — so it stays shut until there are enough people in your state for it to actually work. Tell us where you are and we’ll come to you.
Thank you for your response. ✨
We’ll only email you about this. No newsletter, no sharing your address with anyone, and we’ll never ask for your real name.
