What “Cusp Verified” means
There is a badge on some listings in the professional directory. This page exists so that you can find out exactly what it means, which is one thing and only one thing — and so that we can be held to it.
We looked this person’s license up with the body that issued it, on the date shown, and it was active and clear.
Not a screenshot they sent us. Not a form they filled in. We went to the state regulator’s own lookup, searched the name and number, and recorded what we found and when we found it.
That is the entire claim. Everything below is either how to check it yourself or a list of things it deliberately does not mean.
What it does not mean
What we can honestly say
- The license existed, was active, and carried no unresolved disciplinary action on the date printed beside the badge.
- We checked it at the source, and the source is named.
- They did not pay for it and could not have. Verification is not for sale at any price, to anybody.
- They are listed whether or not they have ever heard of us. Every licensed professional we can find is in the directory, free.
What it is not
- Not a recommendation. We have not met them, used them, or formed a view about their work. A license is a floor, not a verdict.
- Not a ranking. Nothing about this badge moves anybody up a list. The ordering rule is published and money cannot change it.
- Not permanent. Licenses lapse and people are disciplined. The badge reports one day, and the date is on it for exactly that reason.
- Not a qualification we issued. We checked somebody else’s. We are not a credentialing body and we do not accredit anyone.
Check it yourself, in about a minute
This is the part that matters. A badge nobody can check is worth nothing, and most of the badges you will meet in this market cannot be checked at all.
- Take the license number from the listing. It is printed there for this purpose.
- Go to the state regulator’s own lookup — the real estate commission, the bar, the health licensing board, whichever applies. We name the source on the listing so you do not have to guess.
- Search the number, not the name. Names are spelled differently in different systems; numbers are not.
- If what you find does not match what we published, tell us and we will fix it and record the correction with a date on the corrections page. We have done this before and we will do it again.
Two different things, and they are easy to confuse
As of September 2026 there are two marks on this site. They mean different things and we would rather say so plainly than let them blur.

The second one is the one where we have a financial interest, so it is the one described in the most detail. Everything about how we are paid is on one page.
The certification we designed, priced, and did not build
Until today, this page advertised a paid certification for agents: six modules, a scored exam, $695 plus $115 a year. It was designed in detail and it was never open. We have decided not to build it, and this is the honest reason.
A credential is worth what the person holding it can do with it. Right now we cannot show an agent how many divorcing people read this site, because the site is new and the number is small. Selling a credential before it can produce anything is how the rest of this market operates and we are not doing it.
If it is ever built, it will be after there are real users and real traffic to point at, the price will be on the pricing page before it is for sale, and this page will say so. Until then there is a free training and a free assessment, and what we require of an agent is published in full.
