SPECIMEN certification page (not a real agent)

This page exists so that a certification can be checked rather than taken on trust. It is the page our mark links to, and it says what is true today — including when the answer is that somebody is no longer certified.

What this certification is, and what it is not

What it is: this agent holds an active real estate license, which we checked with the issuing regulator ourselves rather than taking their word for it, and they passed a twenty-question assessment on the things that make a divorce sale different — the order that can take effect the moment a case is filed, working for two people who may not be speaking, occupancy and access, and what an agent must never repeat from one spouse to the other.

What it is not, and this list matters more than the one above:

• It is not a rating. It means trained and checked. It does not mean good, and we do not claim to know.
• It is not an accreditation. No body accredits it. We made it, we say so, and you should weigh it accordingly.
• It is not a promise about outcome. A certified agent can still do a poor job, and if one does we want to hear about it.
• It cannot be bought. The certification is free and is earned by passing the assessment. What an agent may pay for, separately, is the annual license to display our mark in their own marketing — which buys a graphic and buys no preference from us of any kind.

If this agent has not treated you well, tell us. Certification can be withdrawn, and a certification that is never withdrawn is a certification that means nothing. What we require of an agent is published here.
